We call this way of learning Chavruta Learning.
It is a traditional Jewish learning method in which two students study a religious text together, typically the Talmud. This method encourages collaboration, discussion, and critical thinking, allowing students to benefit from their partner's unique perspective.

Connecting Through Shared Learning

In today's world, feeling isolated and disconnected from others is easy. But what if there was a way to bridge the gaps and build meaningful relationships with people from all over the globe?

That's where Shared Learning comes in.

Shared Learning is a unique opportunity to connect with others through the power of shared exploration and discovery. Engaging in thoughtful discussion and debate allows us to learn from each other, broaden our perspectives, and build lasting bonds.

Here is how it works:

1. Choose a text

We'll provide a selection of thought-provoking texts from various sources

2. Learn in pairs

Partner up with someone from anywhere in the world and explore the text together.

3. Discuss and debate

Use our guided questions to engage in meaningful dialogue and share your unique insights

4. Connect and grow

Join a live online session with all participants to deepen your understanding and connect with your fellow learners

Benefits of Chavruta Learning:

  • Collaboration and discussion are essential elements that enable students to understand better the text they are studying. When students work together, they can examine the text from different angles, discuss nuances, and gain new insights. Furthermore, Chavruta learning is an excellent way to develop critical thinking skills. In this type of learning, students are challenged to think critically, formulate questions, and develop arguments. Collaboration and discussion also help students retain information more effectively. By working with others, scholars can remember the material better and recall it more easily. Moreover, Chavruta's learning requires collaboration, listening, patience, and a willingness to accept others' opinions. This type of learning can help students develop critical social skills that are valuable in life. Approaching Chavruta study sessions with modesty fosters mutual respect, humility, and open-mindedness, enabling participants to value each other's unique insights while exploring texts collaboratively.

Lastly, cooperative learning can lead to close friendships between learners. By working together, students build relationships that can last a lifetime.
