Q: Should we stop eating fish because of the cruel way they are often killed?
Q: The Torah prohibits making an animal suffer. In fishing, especially commercial production, the fish are usually dumped to the bottom of the hold of a ship, where they are left to suffocate and die, or they are frozen while they are still alive. What should we do? Should we stop eating fish? When we buy fish in a store we have no way to tell how they were killed.
